The Rydal Show Society Youth Council began in 2014, when Scott Hadley and Sarah Martin decided that Rydal needed some new and younger faces and ideas. The original members of the Youth Council were Emma Martin, Meghan Porter, Grace Hadley, Hayley Porter and Bridget Hadley. All five girls are locals to the Rydal area and are heavily involved in the Rydal Show every year. The first event the Rydal Show Society Youth Council held was the 2015 Gymkhana. This event was a blast with just over 20 competitors. The next year the numbers had increased, as well as the number of members. The Youth Council now has 18 members, ranging from 9 to 21 years, and they are happy to announce that all future Gymkhanas will be held on the last Sunday of October.

The Rydal Show Society Youth Council wants to say thank you to all their family and friends that have helped them succeed in every way.
